My name is Ariscel P. Lobo, and I was born in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. I began my tertiary education at De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Deaf Studies, and also earned a Master’s in Education with Specialization in Special Education (Teaching Children with Auditory Disabilities) at Philippine Normal University.
I am a Special Education (SPED) Teacher in the Philippine School for the Deaf, teaching fourth year high school deaf students, as well as an Assistant Professorial Lecturer in De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde.
I am also an active member of the Philippine Sports Federation of the Deaf as an athlete in bowling. I represented the Philippines in the Asia-Pacific Bowling Championship for the Deaf in Jeju, Korea and at the 2009 Deaflympics in Taipei, Taiwan.
I am interested in sports-related research and mathematics education for the deaf. My personal interests are bowling and travelling to various places.
