My name is Leonides D. Sulse, and I am a full time Deaf faculty member of the School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in Manila, Philippines. I teach computer and Deaf studies courses, and am currently the Coordinator of Deaf Learner’s Preparatory Course as well as an Academic Adviser.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree at the same institution with a specialisation in Computer Studies, graduating with honorable mention. I further earned a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from the Philippine Normal University, Manila, Philippines.
As a member of the Research Development Council, I research how to enhance faculty competency in the use of instructional technology. I have worked and served in various capacities as a faculty member and administrator, in addition to representing the college in local and international workshops and conferences that involved Deaf education and technology. I have also volunteered as faculty adviser to community outreach programs to reach out to the Deaf community and conduct various seminars and workshops for Deaf Filipinos.
I am an active member of professional organizations such the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Alumni Association (SDEAS Alumni Chapter), where I currently serve as President, and Support and Empower Abused Deaf Children, where I am the current Board President.
